Deya / Singer

Deya's music and art aims to capture the sentiments of both the diaspora and younger generation of Bengalis living across the world. Her goal is to uplift the Bengali community by spreading the richness of Bangali culture to all corners of the world. Influences for her work include her training in Jazz, Commercial, Western Classical, and Hindustani Classical voice. Furthermore, as a third culture kid, her expression focuses on the dichotomy of "belonging everywhere and nowhere". When spending time away from creating her own work, Deya also teaches others how to sing. Deya’s further work is on all social media outlets @deyarcreations and on streaming services under the name “Deya”.
